A Special Note

Although we prefer the New King James Version for reading, the King James Version makes a better text for study. We realize the text is dated, being originally translated in 1611, but it has been much more thoroughly cross-referenced to the original languages, making it a superior source of online information.

Would You Like a Bible for Your Computer?

There is a good free Bible for Windows, available in many languages, which you can download and run on your computer. If you are using Linux, click here to go to the Linux version of this page. These programs are not as fancy as those sold in Christian bookstores. Still, they work fine once you set them up, and the price can not be beat! Access the Online Bible site by clicking on the link below.

Click here to go to the Online Bible download area Click here to go to the Online Bible Downloads page

  • Click on the Online Bible Program link and download the Starter Pack from the next page.
  • Return to the Downloads page, click on the Dictionaries link and download the following from the next page:
    • Original Strong’s Greek Lexicon.
    • Original Strong’s Hebrew Lexicon

If you do not know what the different parts are for, that is OK. In time, you will learn why they are great to have.

If your first language is not English, go to our Bibles In Various Languages page.
